Michelle Mahler writes, "Each flower is hand sketched and cut. Then each petal is hand formed out of copper. Then numerous layers of powdered glass are fired to form the colors of the flower. Aqua blue and a lighter patina type green. The center are little copper stud. They are a treated so that they have a matte finish. They hang from hand wrought copper stem with a sterling silver ear wire.

"Enameling is fusing glass to metal, in this case copper. Each piece is fired multiple times including the back to 1500 degrees".
