The glass flowers look so fragile and yet
I'm sure they are not. Here in Prescott, we have several Victorian Jewelry
designers and I can see them using these wonderful flowers in their work.

Clay Beads on a Silk Ribbon

I found these wonderful clay beads at a resale shop in Prescott. I love the way the artist used the ribbon in this design. Check out how the ribbon is fanned between the beads. I would love to know the name of the artist who designed and created these clay beads.

Hand Dyed Silk Cord Adorned With An Old Millefiori From My Collection

Here is one of my Vintage Millefiori beads used as a focal point for this necklace.  I attached the Millefiori by knotting the hand dyed silk cord on both sides of the bead. I then added size 11 seed beads to cover all  of the knots and adorn the cord at the same time. This necklace has a sterling silver closure and it can be found at Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery on Historic Whiskey Row in Prescott, Arizona.

Right Angle Weave Amulet Bag - Fish Ojime Boxwood Bead

Right Angle Weave is perfect for the creation of an amulet bag. Often,  I bead the amulet bag and make unique brooches with them. This week I just decided to make the Amulet Bag necklace and the Fish Ojime boxwood bead inspired this piece.

I enjoy using size 11 seedbeads in my work and getting lost in the world of off loom bead weaving is peaceful and I enjoy it so much.

Rudrakshas Beads That Bless

I was given 2 of these wonderful beads by a friend who just returned from a trip to Hawaii. 

Iraivan Hindu Temple put out and information sheet and they write, "Two decades ago on the Garden Idland of Kauai, the Hindu monks planted a forest of 250 Rudraksha trees. Today it is America's only grove of tree called Blue Marble by the Hawaiians and Eleocarpus ganitrus in Latin. Buttons and Beads Used in Beaded Brooch Designs

Creating this brooch was a fun process. I began with a simple plastic shower curtain ring. The ring was white so I spray painted it blue to enhance the colors of my Arizona Bead Soup.

I covered the ring with right angle off loom bead weaving stitch using size 11 seed beads. The beaded ring was then  adorned with a  unique vintage  glass face button in the middle. Drop beads were clustered at the top of the ring and fringe added to complete a Happy Face Brooch.
