McGowan House Artisans are proud to introduce a new venue opening in June 2012 in Marion, IA. The mission of McGowan House Artisans is to promote original handcrafted works of art by Midwest Artists with a profound emphasis on "Iowa" artists.
Our vision for McGowan House Artisans is to nurture and encourage "Creativity" and "Appreciation" of the arts from visitors of all ages to our store. McGowan House Artisans will offer the community a chance to interact with emerging and established artists through their shopping experiences, workshops and guest artist programs.
The McGowan House, rooted in history, is the perfect backdrop for a store filled with artisans who seek to honor the traditions of the old craft while staying true to the demands of a modern community.
The owners, Jeanne Dudley, Sharon Poplawski and Jeanne White intend to encourage and promote the City of Marion as a destination for shopping and community spirit.
