Larry Peterson's Hand Crafted Cross (20 inches high and 15 inches wide) is made of old wood and found metal items.
Larry writes, "My art is found metal and old wood. I welded for two different companies for over 35 years. The last one being John Deere, retiring after 30 years with that company. Moving to Prescott from Moline, Illinois about 8 years ago, I was lucky to get acquainted with local artist, Dave Newman. Dave and I do found object sculpture together. I've learned a lot from Dave. Most of the wood and steel has been given to me or I have found it at different sales, etc."
Larry donated this piece to The Prescott Area Women's Shelter and it will be offered in the silent auction part of the 2011 PAWS Holiday Fundraiser, Novermber 18, 2011 from 5pm to 8pm - Hotel St. Michael Ballroom, 205 W. Gurley Street, Prescott, AZ.
