Southwest Fiber Guild from the Tucson area enjoyed a 2010 road trip to Prescott to visit Diamond Valley Alpacas . They also held their state wide meeting there.
As on the Southwest Fiber Guild web site:
Southwest Fiber Arts Guild
Organized in January 2008 by a group of fiber artists
and educators, ranchers and
purveyors of fiber who believe the Southwest has
a myriad of resources to offer.
It will be our mission to bring like-minded
individuals together
to share information and educational
opportunities.
As part of that mission, we sponsor the Southwest Fiber
Festival each October.
During the course of the year, our 'meetings in
motion' will feature a program designed
to educate the members about an
aspect of the fiber culture in Southern Arizona.
Membership is available to all persons regardless of
age, sex, disability, religion, race
or color who will adhere to and support
the objectives of the guild.
Do you enjoy the fiber arts, want to learn more about
animal & plant fibers,
wish to foster the fiber arts, continue to see
advancements personally
and in the fiber practices of the Southwest?
