A German Navy Button!
I created this brooch - Pendant for my sister-in-law in Germany.
This button is encased with a ring which I beaded using Right Angle Weave - Off Loom Bead Weaving. I used size 11 seed beads in a color to accent the Navy Uniform Button and the Lampwork Kahlua Beads, created for the round fringe hanging from the ring.
The seed bead fringe is adorned with Kahlua Beads, Baltic Amber and a flat round Agate Bead.
This is one of the buttons that Christa's brother Jürgen wore on his Navy Uniform for years during the time the German Navy populated their own Jet Pilot Bases in Northern Germany. Jürgen flew F-104 Starfighter before he retired.
