"Multitalented guild member Rowena Tank, from Prescott, will be our speaker on February 19, 2009
with a program on spinning. She will demonstrate her Roberta Electronic Spinner and explain in as much detail as we want about how it works, the advantages of the Roberta, and the differences between “electric” and “electronic” spinners. Rowena will show us how she creates her Raggedy Ro Hand Spun Yarn and give us some fun tips on spinning great novelty yarns. She will have with her samples of her Abstract Knitting as examples of what can be done with small amounts of novelty yarn."
Check out the large wooden buttons by Brenda Behrens. Brenda is a wood turner at Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery on Historical Whiskey Row.
I use Brenda's Buttons or Vintage Glass Buttons on all of my abstract knitting pieces which require such.
Recently, my abstract knitted scarf was featured in the front window display at Arts Prescott. Here it is along side of Michelle Veatch's hand made basket.
During my talk in the Verde Valley I will share information about my favorite fibers to spin. Here is one of this season's new colors of Northern Lights by Louet North America along with the Black Diamond Bamboo which is sometimes called Black Gold.
