Jo Manginelli enjoys Fiber Art. Weaving, Spinning, Knitting, Carding her own Batts, and pushing the limits of Fiber.
Jo writes, "The chenille scarf is woven with lavender
rayon/chenille in a Swiss twill structure. Although chenille is wonderful in
plain weave, I decided to try something new to give the scarf some texture and
depth. I was delighted with the results."
"The black and white scarf is woven a Jagger spun
merino warp and a black mohair weft in a negative space structure. After
washing the fibers shrunk in varying degrees which gave it a nice pucker. It's
so light and airy and soft. But the fiber will keep it's new owner
warm" continues Jo.
