Yesterday I took a trip to Tucson and joined in on a meeting of the Tucson Handweavers and Spinners Guild. I took several photos and I will share them with you during the next month.
Here is just a sample of the wonderful fiber art I experienced while in Tucson.
This Felted Wall Hanging will be auctioned off at the Tucson Handweavers and Spinners Guild Fashion show which is not far off. Please check at their web site for the dates and times of all of their shows and classes.

This is just one thing that shows how special this guild really is. I was looking around on all of the tables and saw this box of colorful fiber sticking up.
It was amazing to learn that this box was full of the Guild Members Name Tags. Each Name Tag is special and is done using Hand Woven backing. After each meeting the members return their name tag to the hand made paper box which was created by one of it's members.
Here is a Hand Created Purse which was made by one of the Tucson Handweavers and Spinners Members. If anyone has more information about the purse of any of the photos I am adding today please make a comment and write a bit about what you see.
At the bottom of the purse photo you see Rowena's Raggedy Ro Hand Spun Yarn. This was auctioned off to benefit the Spinners Group. I spoke about all types of fiber to spin along with a demonstration of the Roberta Electronic Spinner.
