It has been an exciting year. Everything is looking bright for the holidays and my work at Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery is right in the front as you walk in to the gallery.
Visiting Prescott or locals visiting Whiskey Row love to drop in and see the local artists artwork.
I begin most of my pieces with lampworking using Italian Glass Rods or Recycled Glass. I sometimes add an vintage glass button to the mix. Off Loom Bead Weaving in the heart of many of my pieces.
The necklace on the left is created using plain beads created from a Kahlua Bottle and stringing them on a Sterling Silver Snake Chain.
The center necklace is a pendant made from a Chardonnay Bottle Vintage Buttons and Beads sewn on a cord.
To the right is my hand spun yarn braided and adorned with beads and buttons and above that is a lampwork bead created from German Glass. This piece was purchased during our annual holiday party this week. This one-of-a-kind necklace will be around long after I am not. It is exciting to create a piece which will be enjoyed for many years to come. I have jewelry nearly 100 years old in my own collection.
Enjoy the holidays and give the gift of BEADS.......
