Prescott Bead Artist Jan Anderson had a beading weekend here in town.
Jan invited alumni from her Master's Beading Class which was taught by NanC Meinhardt. She invited me to drop by and meet everyone and I am going to share my photos with you over the next day or so.
Jan is working on hands and each hand is making a universal sign. We will have all of the hands photographed after she has her collection finished.
The table is full of bead supplies and everything one needs to work on a project in a group.

Liz Smith at the left of the photo is known for her Calorie Free Donut. She teaches all over the United States.

Not in the photo is Melanie Schow. Melanie is not only a Master Beader, she also is a Spinner. She spins with a Majacraft Little Gem.
Melanie enjoys creating one-of-a-kind novelty yarns shown below. She comes from Sierra Madre, California.
Melanie writes, "I am a wire artist. By the time NanC got to our Master Class, number 13, she
was focused on bringing each students "art" to the next level, so she did not
require we work in seed beads - thank goodness! You can see some more of my
work at www.bendwire.com
I think I like
the fiber so well because it is just another version of twisting strands
together!
Thanks again
for telling the Prescott Art community about us. We sure had a ball visiting
your town. The fun thing about this group is the Fiber and Bead interest. They all love both."

D'Elin Lohr, also of California is not only a beader ... she has a business called The Drop Spindle Yarn Dyer. She was beading at the table and showing her hand dyed yarns while beading. The bead and fiber excitement was all over the room.

I too took a NanC Meinhardt Masters Class some years ago and it helped create what I do today. www.rowenaart.net
NanC Meinhardt teaches not only beading, but how each one can find their own artist muse. A class with NanC Meinhardt is the best!
Tomorrow meet more Masters Class Beaders.
