During the "Spinning at the Winery" in Livermore - Retzlauf Winery I found all types of treasures. Treadles and Treads Guild invite vendors from the area to show their fleeces, tools, and toys.
This Weaving Aid is a work of art and I love it! It is 12+ inches in length and about 3/4th cm wide at the top. The wood is beautiful and smooth. I can fit a doubled strand of hand spun yarn in this needle hole and it makes weaving on the tri-loom a pleasure. At the end many weavings I sometimes have areas difficult to get to and this Weaving Aid does the trick.
I found this in Morgaine's Treasure Box. Morgaine Wilder owns Carolina Homespun. http://www.carolinahomespun.com/ At any show you can find a box of treasures to play in and find small tools which are actually small works of art. There isn't anything that makes weaving and spinning better than having toys to play with.
This also comes in a short version and that is my next purchase. I can just image several of these wonderful wooden magic needles in my my hands at this minute.
