This morning I went back into thoughts about the beginning of my bead adventures. My introduction into the bead world is described in Wendy Simpson-Conner's "The Bead Movement" Video. Wendy interviewed beaders from all over the United States as well as several glass artists at Antonious Glass Studio here in Prescott. At that time I still lived in Phoenix and Glenda Campbell and I were invited to show our beads and talk a little bit about them. Actually, I should have been paid by Master-Card Corp. after the interview, because I explained how happy I was visiting a bead shop in Tempe for the first time.. by saying that I was so glad that I had my Master-Card that day!
After many Craft and Bead Shows my husband and I ended up here in Prescott, Arizona and eventually joined the Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery on Historical Whiskey Row.
The next step is upgrading my web site and offering all of my favorite toys along with exiting ideas. By the end of 2007 I plan on having that all organized and offer all of the fun things I get excited about to you too. I love sharing information and events, and now I will also share my toys.
I got this idea by selling some of my left over fiber on eBay. Everyone seemed to enjoy the opportunity to try fibers they were not able to find in their favorite fiber shop. Right now I have my web site up and running showing my bead work and hand spun. Tomorrow who knows? www.rowenaart.net
