Will Taylor's Clever Kate - Retzlaff Winery - Another Year of Spinning at the Winery!
Recently, I acquired a Will Taylor's Cleaver Kate. Will created this the morning I was staying there in the bay area at Will and Kate's home for the "Spinning at the Winery" one year.
The Treadles with Threads Spinning and Weaving Guild had just had a great spinning class taught by Judith MacKenzie-McCune. Judith voiced what she liked in a Lazy Kate. The Kate needed to be easy to travel with. Judith and Will put their heads together and came up with "Clever Kate".
During the recent show in Tucson, "Fibers Through Time 2008", I purchased this Will Taylor Clever Kate to go with my Jensen Saxony Spinning Wheel.
You can see that the Kate has a special place to store the brass bobbin holders. This makes it perfect to travel or just to store away when needed.
Spinning at the Winery is coming up at the end of this month and I am so sad that I will be unable to attend this year. Have Fun at the Winery!!!!
Check how much fun I had last year at the Retzlaff Winery in Livermore, California. A blog is fun. It is like going back in time.

In 2007, I brought home this Oak Jenson Saxony Wheel. I love the wheel and it resides in our living room. The extra bobbin which some how found its way onto my wheel belongs to my Majacraft Suzi Spinning Wheel. I just noticed it myself. I love the wooden Majacraft Bobbins.
Will Taylor's Clever Kate dresses up my Saxony and the biggest thing is I love using it. Will pays attention to details when he is working on his spinning tools and toys.
May 31st. Fleeces, Food & Fun: 10:AM-4:PM "Bring your wheel for spinning and a pot-luck dish to share for lunch. Don’t spin yet? Join the “Try it Out Circle” for those who would like to learn.
